Senior actor Sudesh Kumar Dhawan passed away due to brain stroke at the age of 95. He worked in many films including ‘Saranga’. His prayer meeting will be held on Monday, May 4 in Mumbai, where his fans will be able to pay their last respects.
Sudesh Kumar Dhawan Passes Away: Senior Hindi cinema actor Sudesh Kumar Dhawan passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was 95 years old. According to the information, the actor had suffered a brain stroke about two weeks before his death. He was hospitalized from April 20 to April 30. After initial treatment, he was taken home, where ICU-like arrangements were made for his care. But his condition did not improve and he eventually died on 1 May. His prayer meeting will be held on 4th May 2026 at 4 pm. This meeting has been organized at FPH Banquet Hall in Mumbai, where his fans and people associated with the industry will pay tribute to him.

Sudesh Kumar leaves behind his family, which includes wife Jaya, daughter Mishika. Sudesh Kumar was born on 17 March 1931. He obtained a degree in Science from Elphinstone College. Although his father wanted him to become a doctor, Sudesh Kumar was interested in acting.
Beginning of acting career
Due to his passion for acting, he chose this field and started his artistic journey with Prithviraj Kapoor’s famous theater group. It was from here that the foundation of his acting career became stronger.

Sudesh Kumar got special recognition from the film Saranga. It was a tragic love story in which she played the lead role and won her place in the hearts of the audience. He worked in many types of films in his career. Along with Hindi cinema, he also appeared in many successful South Indian films. These films include Chhoti Behen, Bharosa, Khandaan. His roles in these earned him recognition as a strong supporting actor. Apart from acting, Sudesh Kumar also ventured into film production. His last project as a producer was ‘Jaan Hatheli Pe’.
