Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has taken a strict stance on the rapid deterioration of the CC road built in Bemetara. While giving instructions for investigation, he said that if any deficiency in quality is found, action will be taken against the contractor and officials and the road will be rebuilt soon.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has taken seriously the news of the recently constructed CC road getting damaged in a short time in Nagar Panchayat Dadhi area of Bemetara district. He clearly said that any kind of negligence in the quality of development works will not be tolerated.
Instructions to Collector for investigation: Quality and material will be tested
The Chief Minister spoke to Bemetra Collector Pratistha Mamgain on phone and directed for a detailed and time-bound investigation of the entire matter. He said that technical testing of the road should be done so that its actual condition can be revealed. Also, there should be a complete investigation of the materials used in construction, quality of work and monitoring system.
Strict action will be taken if irregularities are found: action will be taken against contractors and officials
The Chief Minister gave clear instructions that if the investigation reveals any lack of quality, violation of rules or any kind of irregularity, then strict action should be taken against the concerned contractor and responsible officials. He also said that the damaged road should be rebuilt as soon as possible, so that people can get safe and easy transportation.
Review of other construction works also: Such mistake should not happen again
The Chief Minister has also given instructions to conduct a special review of other construction works going on in the district. He says that monitoring at every level is necessary to ensure that such a situation does not happen again in future.

Chief Minister Sai said that it is the responsibility of the administration to ensure quality, transparency and accountability in construction works. No compromise of any kind will be accepted in this. He said that those who are negligent in works related to public interest will be held accountable and action will be taken.
