Pakistan Vegetable Price: A video of Lahore’s vegetable market is setting social media on fire. It is visible that in our neighboring country Pakistan, inflation has broken the back of the people. People are so distressed that now they are openly questioning the policies of their government and requesting to start trade with India. Pakistani people believe that distance from India is costing them dearly. So let’s watch this video and know what is the price of onion and potato in the neighboring country and know the reaction of the people there…
Onion price raised public’s anger
This video is of a big vegetable market in Lahore, Pakistan, where Shoaib Chaudhary of YouTube channel ‘Real Entertainment TV’ is talking to people regarding inflation and trade with India. In the video, when a shopkeeper was asked the price of onion, he told that at present the price of onion in Pakistan has reached ₹ 240 to ₹ 250 per kg. Those who are reaching the market to buy onion in bulk i.e. one bunch (5 kg), have to pay up to ₹ 1200 for it. The shopkeeper also admitted that in India the same onion is available for between ₹ 20 to ₹ 40 per kg. Pakistani people believe that Indian onion was not only cheaper but was also better in taste and quality than the onion coming from Iran.
You will be shocked to hear the price of fish
Not only have the prices of vegetables increased in the vegetable market, but the prices of things like fish are also skyrocketing. In the video, the shopkeeper tells that ‘Chirra’ fish is being sold at ₹550 per kg, while the price of thornless ‘Mali’ fish has reached ₹650 per kg. The most shocking price is that of ‘Mahaseer’ fish, which is being sold at the price of ₹ 900 per kg. The skyrocketing prices of these food items have completely ruined the kitchen budget of the middle and lower class.
Pakistani people surprised by the facilities of Indian farmers
During the discussion in the market, Pakistani people and vegetable shopkeepers are becoming convinced of India’s agricultural model. People say that in India, the government gives huge subsidies to its farmers on electricity, water and fertilizers, due to which the produce there is cheap. In contrast, in Pakistan a bag of fertilizer is available for up to ₹14,000 (DAP) and electricity bills range from ₹40,000 to ₹50,000. The pain of the people is that despite their fertile land, both farmers and consumers are getting crushed due to the wrong policies of the government.
Indians are happy under Modi rule – Pakistani people
In the video, a businessman, while referring to his visit to Saudi Arabia, said that there he met Indian Muslims, who were very happy with their government. He said that in Pakistan people are intimidated in the name of India and Modi, but in reality the people there, especially the minorities, are feeling better and safer. The people there have now started to understand that they have been fooled for 76 years in the name of issues like Kashmir, whereas in reality they need food and cheap electricity more.
Pakistani public’s blunt opinion on trade and relations with India
The women and shopkeepers present in the market say in one voice that the government should give up its stubbornness and restart trade with India. He believes that only good relations with neighboring countries like India, Iran and Afghanistan can save Pakistan’s sinking economy. People said in clear words that they do not want war or hatred, but cheap ration and better life. The people are now tired of the Kashmir issue and want the way for trade to be cleared by resolving the issues through table talk.
