The difference between moonrise and sunrise is considered to be the difference between fasting and bathing on Adhikamas Purnima. According to the Panchang, today the full moon date of Adhikamas is falling at 11.57 am. That means Purnima Tithi will be present at the time of moonrise tonight. This is the reason why there is a Purnima fast today, because when the moon rises on the Purnima date itself, then the Purnima fast is observed on that day. The date of this full moon will be till 02:14 pm on 31st May. That means tomorrow will be the full moon date of Adhikamas at the time of sunrise. When Purnima Tithi occurs at the time of sunrise, full moon bath and charity is done on that day. In such a situation, tomorrow, Sunday, 31st May, a bath and donation will be done on the full moon day of Adhikamas.
