PSL 2026, Islamabad United vs Hyderabad Kingsmen: Hyderabad Kingsmen registered a thrilling victory in the Eliminator 2 match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026. They entered the finals by defeating Islamabad United by just 2 runs. In this match, there was a fierce competition between the two teams and the result of the match came on the last ball. During this, 22 year old Hunain Shah bowled an amazing last over, on the basis of which Hyderabad team could get the ticket for the final.

In this match, Hyderabad Kingsmen, batting first, scored 186 runs for 5 wickets. During this, Usman Khan played a brilliant inning of 61 unbeaten runs, while Marnus Labuschagne, Sam Ayub and Kusal Perera also made useful contributions. On the other hand, Imad Wasim took maximum 2 wickets for Islamabad United. Due to which Islamabad United got the target of 187 runs. In reply, the team started aggressively, but came under pressure due to the fall of wickets in the middle. Mark Chapman scored 43 runs, Haider Ali scored 31 runs and Chris Green played useful innings of 21 runs. But could not lead the team to victory.
Actually, Islamabad needed 6 runs to win in the 20th over. Here Hunain Shah performed amazingly. He started the over with a dot ball and then bowled five yorkers consecutively. During this, Faheem Ashraf was dismissed and only 3 runs were spent. Got only leg bye on the last ball, due to which Hyderabad won by 2 runs. Hunain also took a total of 2 wickets in this match, for which Hunain Shah was chosen as the player of the match.
Strong comeback after bad start
This victory was very special for Hyderabad Kingsmen. After losing the first 4 matches at the beginning of the season, the team has made a great comeback and has now won 7 out of 8 matches in a row. They will face Peshawar Zalmi in the final. This is the first time in the history of Pakistani Super League that a team is going to play the final after losing the first 4 matches. In such a situation, Hyderabad Kingsmen also have a big chance to win the title.
