New Delhi: There has been a huge increase of Rs 993 in the price of commercial LPG cylinder in the country in one go. On this, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has launched a scathing attack on the central government. Rahul said that he had already warned that inflation would hit after the elections are over. He told that since February till now, commercial cylinder has become costlier by Rs 1380. Rahul said that first the prices of gas have been increased and the next will be that of petrol and diesel.

Rahul Gandhi said, “I had said – the heat of inflation will come after the elections. Today the commercial gas cylinder has become costlier by Rs 993. This is the biggest increase in a single day. This is an election bill. There has been an increase of Rs 1380 since February. There has been a jump of 81% in the prices in the last three months.”

Rahul also stressed that the impact of this inflation will affect those running tea shops, hotels, bakeries and confectioners, due to which the household budget of common people will also deteriorate. Rahul Gandhi had earlier also alleged that after the completion of the assembly election process in many states, the central government will increase the prices of petroleum products. Then he had said that the ‘election relief’ is over and now the heat of inflation is about to come.
