Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India Devjit Saikia said in the conversation that,
This match is similar to an Olympic, FIFA tournament or international athletics tournament. We cannot buy India and Pakistan matches, because if we boycott this match, then all our efforts will have a wrong impact on hosting any multinational tournament in the future.
This decision is according to the policy of the Indian government. The government of India has not banned playing multinational tournaments against any country, even with countries that we do not have good relations. For this reason, we are participating in this tournament. If this had been a bilateral series, then we could say that we would not play cricket with this anti -country.

26 Indians died in Pahalgam terror attack
