Riyan Parag penalized for Vaping: The punishment of Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has been announced. He has been punished for puffing on an e-cigarette inside the dressing room. The captain of Rajasthan Royals made this mistake in the match played against Punjab Kings in New Chandigarh. The video of Riyan Parag puffing on an e-cigarette had gone viral on social media, after which action has now been taken against him. A heavy fine has been imposed on Riyan Parag as punishment.
What punishment did Riyan Parag get?
Riyan Parag’s match fee has been reduced by 25 percent as punishment for puffing an e-cigarette in the dressing room. Meaning, a fine of 25 percent has been imposed on them. Apart from this, one demerit point has also been added to his account. Even before Riyan Parag, many captains have been fined in IPL 2026, but Riyan Parag is the first to face the fine for vaping i.e. inhaling from e-cigarette.
Vaping i.e. e-cigarette is banned in India since 2019. According to BCCI rules, there is a strict ban on smoking and vaping except in selected places. But, Riyan Parag was doing this work in the dressing room itself.
