America-Israel have been running ‘Operation Epic Fury’ against Iran for 60 days. The Pentagon’s goal is to destroy Iran’s nuclear capability, on which $25 billion has been spent so far. There is opposition to this war in America.
Tehran: The military action that could push West Asia into a major war has entered its 60th day. America and Israel are taking this action together against Iran. This attack, which started on the morning of 28 February under the name of ‘Operation Epic Fury’, has created a big crisis within the country.
Pentagon Chief Pete Hegseth told a committee of the US Parliament that his aim is to eliminate Iran’s nuclear capability. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also claimed that the attack had greatly weakened Iran. The Pentagon revealed that America has so far spent 25 billion dollars (about Rs 2.08 lakh crore) on this war with Iran.
Pete Hegseth released the first official figures on war spending at a meeting of the House Armed Services Committee on Wednesday. He said, “America is ready to pay any price to stop Iran from making nuclear weapons.” Hegseth also said that the naval siege of Hormuz would continue, but he did not clarify when this war would end.
To this, Iran has replied that nothing has happened to its oil wells and if America wants, it can show it by live-streaming. At the same time, the leaders of the Democratic Party in America are strongly opposing this war. He says that this economic burden of war is affecting the everyday life of common people.
