Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the country’s first public participation based 60 MW Jalud Solar Power Plant in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh. The Green Bond Scheme will provide economic benefits to the public for 20 years and clean electricity to Indore.

Bhopal/Khargone. April 29 became a historic day in the field of electricity and green energy in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the Jalud Solar Power Plant located at Maheshwar in Khargone district. This is the first solar power plant in the country which has been built on public participation model. Built at a cost of approximately Rs 271.16 crore, this plant has a capacity of 60 MW. It is said that this project will provide economic benefits to the common people for about 20 years.

During the program, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav informed about the features of the project and also targeted Congress. He said that Congress kept women away from their rights for decades. It is noteworthy that the bhoomi pujan of this project was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2023. A short film based on works related to green energy was also shown in the programme.

Jalud Solar Power Plant: Indore Municipal Corporation will get cheap and clean electricity

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Jalud Solar Power Plant is an important project not only for Madhya Pradesh but for the entire country. In this plant, solar energy will be converted into electricity and supplied to Indore Municipal Corporation. This project with a capacity of about 60 MW has received full support from the Government of India.

He said that through the Green Bond Scheme, the people of the country have also been made partners in this project. Any person can buy a maximum of 10 bonds of Rs 1 lakh each. There is a possibility of getting a profit of about 8 percent on every investment of Rs 1 lakh and this benefit will be available for about 20 years. These bonds can also be sold if needed.

The Chief Minister said that through this scheme the government has given people the opportunity to earn money sitting at home. He claimed that Madhya Pradesh has become the state providing cheapest electricity in the country. Delhi Metro is being operated with the electricity produced in the state.

Green Energy MP: Cost recovery in 10 years, only profit for next 10 years

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Jalud Solar Project will have double benefit. On one hand, Indore Municipal Corporation will get electricity, while on the other hand there will be reduction in carbon emissions. He said that green energy is emerging as the best option in power generation.

He told that the entire cost of this project will be recovered in about 10 years and after that only profit will be received for the next 10 years. The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is changing rapidly. Till the year 2002-03, the power generation capacity of the state was only 5000 MW. At that time, power cuts at night were common and adequate power was not available even during the day.

Referring to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he said that he worked to provide concrete roads to every village. He also accused the opposition parties of leaving the country behind in matters of development.

Vedic Clock Project: Vedic clock will be installed in all 12 Jyotirlinga complexes.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Indian astronomy has always been an inspiration for the world. He told that the 12 months of the English calendar are also influenced by Indian astronomical calculations. Scientists like Aryabhata had long ago given information about the movement of planets and time cycles to the world.

He said that accurate information about solar and lunar eclipses based on the movement of planets and constellations is possible with Indian Vedic knowledge. Madhya Pradesh Government has prepared Vedic Clock with the help of Science and Technology Department. This clock was first installed in Ujjain and later also in Kashi Vishwanath temple.

The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the Vedic Clock of Emperor Vikramaditya in Kashi Vishwanath Dham. Now with the cooperation of the state government, this Vedic clock will be installed in all the 12 Jyotirlinga complexes of the country.

Electricity to farmers during the day, wheat support price also increased

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the work of wheat procurement is going on in the state. The government has increased the price of wheat by more than Rs 400 per quintal in the last two years. He said that during the BJP governments the price of wheat has been increased by a total of Rs 2100. He said that Madhya Pradesh has now become a power surplus state. Under the Farmers Welfare Year, it has been decided to provide electricity to the farmers for irrigation even during the day.

Women Reservation: Congress accused of snatching women’s rights

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Maheshwar-Mandaleshwar region has been a center of knowledge and science since ancient times. Referring to the famous debate between Maharishi Mandan Mishra and Adi Shankaracharya, he said that at that time Mandan Mishra’s wife was made a judge, which is a great example of women empowerment.

He said that when the Central Government decided to give 33 percent reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and Assembly through the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, the Congress and opposition parties opposed it. The Chief Minister alleged that Congress deprived women of their rights for 55 years after independence.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to give equality to women in political participation and women will respond to this in the times to come. Referring to Ahilyabai Holkar, the Chief Minister said that she had rebuilt and developed temples across the country in difficult times.
