In a new interview, Priyanka opened up about raising her daughter in a multicultural household with her husband, where Indian traditions and American culture coexist in everyday life. She talked about the importance of adapting to life in the United States while also preserving her heritage and ensuring that her daughter grows up connected to both worlds. From celebrating Indian festivals to embracing American holidays, Chopra Jonas highlighted how purpose and shared values shape their family life. She is committed to keeping her heritage alive while also building a global foundation for her daughter.

Speaking to Vogue Arabia,   was asked about how she maintains balance at home while raising her daughter Malti across cultures. As one of the most recognizable Indian figures on the world stage, she carefully points out that she represents more than just an ‘Indian woman’, highlighting the responsibilities that come with this identity and the importance of staying true to one’s identity while navigating a multicultural family life.

She said, “I’m not a diplomat, I’m an actor, but I try to do my best and use my platform to give a good representation of my culture. I love India, and I’m very, very Indian in my choice of food and so many other things. However, I need to have an understanding that our family is also partially American. While I try to keep my traditions alive in our day-to-day lives, we are in the United States.”

PeeCee also added that it is actually very important for   and her that their daughter grows up in this multicultural way, adding she was more familiar with American culture, so it was easier and for Nick, it was more of an introduction and an education. “He loves India and respects it tremendously. He is part of my pujas and religious ceremonies. We celebrate with the same commitment and intention, be it Holi or Thanksgiving,” she said.

Meanwhile, Priyanka and Nick were married in a lavish celebration in December 2018 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India. The wedding featured both a traditional Hindu ceremony and a Christian ceremony officiated by Nick’s father, along with pre-wedding rituals. The couple welcomed their daughter Malti in 2022.
