Orange Cap and Purple Cap Holder List in IPL 2026: The 41st match of IPL 2026 was played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. Even after this match, the fate of Mumbai Indians did not change but the winners of Orange Cap and Purple Cap of IPL 2026 definitely changed. Their faces changed. The caps which had adorned the heads of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Bhuvneshwar Kumar till this match, now adorned the heads of Abhishek Sharma and Ishaan Malinga. Both Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Malinga, who have captured the Orange Cap and Purple Cap, are part of Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Playing their role in the defeat of Mumbai Indians, both these players captured the Orange Cap and Purple Cap of IPL 2026. Abhishek Sharma, who was running second 20 runs behind Vaibhav Suryavanshi in the Orange Cap race till the match against Mumbai Indians, has now become number 1 by getting 25 runs ahead of the 15-year-old batsman. Whereas in the race for Purple Cap, there is a tough competition going on between Ishan Malinga, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Joffra Archer and Anshul Kamboj. After the match against Mumbai Indians, the Purple Cap has now come to Ishan Malinga.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi slipped to third place in the Orange Cap race
In the race for Orange Cap, not only Abhishek Sharma but another Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Heinrich Klaasen has also left Vaibhav Suryavanshi behind. Abhishek Sharma has 425 runs after 9 matches and he is currently the new owner of the Orange Cap. In this race, Heinrich Klaasen is at second position after scoring 414 runs in 9 matches. Whereas, Vaibhav Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals, who scored 400 runs after 9 matches, has slipped to third place in the Orange Cap race.
Competition among 4 bowlers for Purple Cap, Malinga is currently ahead
Ishan Malinga of Sunrisers Hyderabad has gone ahead in the race for Purple Cap. He is wearing the purple cap after taking 15 wickets in the 9 matches played so far. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 14 wickets in 8 matches and has slipped to second place in the Purple Cap race. Joffra Archer has 14 wickets in 9 matches. Whereas another bowler who has taken 14 wickets is Anshul Kamboj of CSK, who has played 8 matches so far.
