Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a close look at this Vedic clock installed in the Kashi Vishwanath Temple complex and understood its complete functioning. Features of Vikramaditya Vedic Clock: Sunrise based time calculation

The biggest feature of Vikramaditya Vedic Clock is its time calculation system. It does not work on the basis of hours and minutes like normal watches. Its calculation is based on the time cycle from sunrise to the next sunrise. Along with telling the time, this clock also displays many important information related to Panchang, planetary positions, auspicious time and Vedic calculation. For this reason it has become the center of attraction for people.

Scholars of Ujjain prepared a clock based on Vedic calendar

This clock has been prepared on the basis of India’s ancient Vedic calculus system. It has been constructed by the scholars of Maharaja Vikramaditya Shodhpeeth located in Ujjain. Before this, this Vedic clock had also been installed in the Mahakaleshwar temple of Ujjain. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it in Ujjain in the year 2024.

CM Mohan Yadav’s focus, wants to make Ujjain Prime Meridian

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is continuously emphasizing on establishing Ujjain as the Prime Meridian of the world. They believe that the currently used Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is a product of Western culture, in which the day is considered to begin at midnight. According to CM Dr. Yadav, sunrise based calculations are considered more accurate from Indian tradition and scientific point of view. Ujjain is situated on the Tropic of Cancer, hence it is considered very important from astronomical and scientific point of view.
