The new Aadhaar App launched in this direction has received tremendous response from the people. The app has now crossed the 4 crore download mark. Not only this, more than 11 lakh addresses have also been updated through this. According to the data released by the government, till now about 40 lakh people have updated their mobile numbers with the help of Aadhaar App.
It is clear from this that people are now using mobile apps more instead of going to office for Aadhaar related work. This app is not limited to just address update. Through this, digital Aadhaar Verification and many other facilities are also available. This saves time and many tasks can be completed sitting at home.
More than 11 lakh people updated their address
According to the report, more than 11 lakh addresses have been updated so far through the new Aadhaar App. Earlier the process of changing address used to take more time, but now sending online request through the app has become easier than before. This is saving both time and effort of the people.
How to update address from Aadhaar App
If you want to change the address in your Aadhaar, then you can use the new Aadhaar App.
Step 1: Open Aadhaar App in your phone.
Step 2: Login and complete verification with OTP.
Step 3: Select Address Update option.
Step 4: Enter the new address.
Step 5: Upload required address proof (if asked).
Step 6: Check all the information and submit the request.
Step 7: You will get an Update Request Number (URN), through which you can track the status.
How to update mobile number through Aadhaar App
Step 1: First of all open Aadhaar App in the phone and login.
Step 2:Go to the Services section on the home screen.
Step 3: Select Mobile Number Update option here.
Step 4: Enter your new mobile number.
Step 5: Check the information shown on the screen and proceed.
Step 6: After submitting the request, you will get Update Request Number (URN). With the help of this URN you can track the status of your updates.
