Why did the shares of Coal India rise?
The biggest reason behind this latest rise of Coal India is the company’s results, which have left the market estimates behind. According to the data released on Monday evening, the company’s net profit has increased by 12% to ₹ 10,907 crore in the January to March quarter. In the same quarter last year, this figure was around ₹9,740 crore. Along with profits, the company’s revenue from main operations has also registered an increase of 5%, which has now reached ₹ 46,490 crore.
