Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav directed the police officers to strengthen law and order, intensify de-addiction campaign, extend the benefits of 25 thousand promotions to the public and speed up the recruitment process.

Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held a high-level review meeting with senior police officers at the Police Headquarters on July 20. During the meeting, he appreciated the recent big promotion campaign in the police department and said that now the public should get the benefits of these promotions in the form of better law and order and effective policing. He instructed the officers to strengthen the law and order by keeping a strict vigil on crimes. The Chief Minister said that serious efforts should be made at every level to make Madhya Pradesh Police the most reliable and best police in the country. The Chief Minister also congratulated senior officers for completing about 25 thousand promotions at various levels in the police department.

MP Police Promotion: Policing strength will increase after 25 thousand promotions

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that under the special promotion campaign run by the state government, long pending promotions from constable to sub-inspector and inspector level have been completed. He said that like other departments, the direct benefit of promotion in the police department should also be given to the common citizens in the form of better services.

He instructed the officers that if the post becomes vacant in future, the process should be completed by organizing a meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) on time. For this, an annual calendar should be prepared and work should be done rapidly towards eliminating the backlog.

New Criminal Laws: Ensure effective implementation of new criminal laws

The Chief Minister directed to effectively implement the new criminal laws enacted by the Central Government. He said that from the capital to all the districts, police officers will have to work with full seriousness for the successful implementation of these laws. Also, in view of the upcoming festivals and Independence Day celebrations, he gave instructions to keep the security arrangements strong so that the citizens can get a safe environment and any kind of chaos does not arise.

Naxal Free MP: Now development will get new momentum in Naxal affected areas

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the campaign against Naxalism under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has yielded positive results. The situation has also become normal in Naxal affected areas of Madhya Pradesh. He said that now there is a need to carry forward the development works in these areas at a faster pace. Police can also play an important role in strengthening the development process by participating in positive activities with the local people.

Drug Free MP: Instructions to make ‘Distance from drugs is necessary’ campaign more effective

The Chief Minister said that the ongoing de-addiction campaign in the state should be carried forward continuously. He said that the campaign “Abstain from drugs is important” has received good support from the public and a large number of people have taken an oath to quit drug addiction. He asked the officials to achieve better results before time as per the target set by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. For this, the police department along with the higher education department conducted awareness campaigns in schools and colleges. Arrangements should also be made to honor those who have made outstanding contributions to the campaign. The Chief Minister also directed to take strict action against drug smuggling coming from the border states.

Industrial Security: Industries will get trained security staff

The Chief Minister said that industrial investment is increasing rapidly in Madhya Pradesh, hence it is necessary to strengthen the security system in the same proportion. He directed that a system should be developed to provide licensed security personnel to various industrial units and institutions through SISF. He told the officers that keeping in mind the future challenges, the police system should be made modern and efficient so that any situation can be faced effectively.

MP Police Recruitment: Fill the vacant posts soon, Baiga-Sahariya-Bhariya youth will get opportunities.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the recruitment process for all the vacant posts sanctioned in the Police Department should be completed as soon as possible. He especially stressed on providing opportunities to the deserving youth of the special backward tribes of the state—Baiga, Sahariya and Bhariya—in police and other government services. He said that consideration should be given to giving priority in the recruitment process to the youth in the six districts inhabited by these tribes as per their qualifications and interest.

Republic Day 2027: Police band group will be ready in every district

The Chief Minister directed that by the upcoming Republic Day, every district of the state should have its own police band group. He said that the posts have been filled in most of the districts, while in the remaining districts also this work should be completed soon. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on many important topics including the construction work of Police Housing Board, availability of police vehicles, Police Recruitment Board and developing scientific investigation system like FSL at the incident site.
