New Delhi: The weather conditions are getting hot and humid across India, and by the same pattern, Chennai is also heading into a hotter week, with the temperature expected to reach the 30s to 40 degrees Celsius, according to AccuWeather.
But a short window of light rain is also predicted by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) for the week; however, the intense heat will likely end the weekend.

April 30, Thursday- The heat will return, and the temperature will climb up to 38-39 degrees Celsius. The humidity also makes the residents feel the humid temperature.
May 1, Friday- The temperature of the day will move near 40 degrees Celsius, and the dry spells will dominate the region.
May 2, Saturday- The city will turn hotter as the temperature will be nearing 40 degrees Celsius, and the residents will feel the intense sunshine of the peak summer conditions.
May 3, Sunday- May 3 will be one of the hottest days of the week in Chennai, and the temperature will hover around 40-41 degrees Celsius, making outdoor conditions extremely uncomfortable.
