My dear brothers and sisters of West Bengal,

Every festival of democracy is sacred. I have also had the opportunity to be part of this democratic exercise in Bengal. In recent days, I had the chance to present the BJP’s roadmap for Bengal’s development before you all.

Campaigning ends at 5 pm today, and my final rally for this election has also concluded. Through this letter, I want to express my feelings to every family in Bengal.

During this election, I experienced a unique energy in Bengal. Despite the intense heat and numerous rallies, I did not feel tired at all. These rallies and roadshows felt like a pilgrimage to me. Whenever I was among the devotees of Goddess Kali, it felt as though she was continuously filling me with new energy.

Before the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya in January 2024, I had observed an 11-day ritual and fast. In this election too, I experienced a similar feeling.

At every rally and roadshow in Bengal, I received so many heartfelt messages and drawings that I can never forget them. Whenever I get time after these events, I calmly go through them at night… I read your letters filled with affection and even respond to them. The love I see among people of all age groups—youth, women, and the elderly—is my greatest strength.

During this election, I also saw how eager the youth, women, farmers, and workers of Bengal are for a developed state. The youth want open opportunities to move forward. Daughters seek a free sky and security. Every citizen and every family in Bengal is moving forward with one resolve—it is time for change.

There has been enough fear; now people need trust, now they need the BJP.

Serving Bengal and ensuring its security is my duty. Transforming every challenge before Bengal into an opportunity is both my fortune and my responsibility. I will not step back from this responsibility. I assure you that we will together celebrate the swearing-in of a BJP Chief Minister in Bengal.

Together, we will build a developed Bengal.

Concluding his letter, PM Modi called for unity in development: “Together, we will make Bengal developed. Many thanks! Vande Mataram!”

The final phase of polling in West Bengal will be held on April 29, with counting scheduled for May 4.
