The company will stream the entire launch on its official YouTube channel. You don’t need any sign-up or registration. Just open YouTube at 7:30 PM, search for “Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2025” and hit play. If you’ve followed Samsung launches before, you know it usually includes more than just phones. Watches are likely to show up too.
Fold 7 and Flip 7 may bring design overhauls
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to get slimmer than any of the earlier models. Reports suggest it could be as thin as 8.9mm when folded, and just 4.2mm when open. That’s thinner than most smartphones in general. The outer display might be larger too, which would make it easier to use without unfolding. The highlight, though, could be the camera. There’s buzz that Samsung might put a 200MP sensor in the Fold 7, something not seen before in this lineup.
On the other hand, the Z Flip 7 might get a full-screen cover display with no odd cutouts for the camera. If true, this would make it more practical for people who want to check messages, notifications or even take photos without flipping the phone open. Interestingly, the Flip 7 may run on Samsung’s own Exynos 2500 chip instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This would be a shift, especially considering the Fold 7 is still expected to use a Snapdragon chip.
A possible third foldable: Flip 7 FE
For the first time, Samsung might be adding a third foldable to the Z series. This could be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. The FE, short for Fan Edition, usually brings down the price by cutting a few features. We’ve seen this in the Galaxy S series before. If Samsung does go ahead with this Flip 7 FE, it might be their way of making foldables more accessible for buyers who don’t want to spend over ₹1 lakh.
New Galaxy Watch 8 series might also launch
As part of the tradition, Samsung usually refreshes its smartwatch lineup during the July event. This year, the Galaxy Watch 8 is expected to show up, possibly with the return of the ‘Classic’ variant. Reports say the rotating bezel might make a comeback, and the Watch 8 Classic could look similar to last year’s Watch Ultra from the front.
It’s still unclear if the Watch Ultra will get a new version or just new colours. But if the Classic branding returns, it might excite people who missed the older spinning bezel controls.
Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed most of these details yet. So, the only way to know for sure is to watch the livestream. Mark your reminder for 7:30 PM IST on July 9. If you miss it, the replay will be available later on YouTube.
