New Delhi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s brilliant hundred went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad registered a 5-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League 2026 on Saturday. After Sooryavanshi wreaked havoc on the Royals bowlers to take his side to 228 runs in the first innings, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma played brilliantly to take the side home in 18.3 overs.
Apart from these two players, Nitish Kumar Reddy also played a critical role in the chase with 36 runs while Heinrich Klaasen scored 29 to help to take care of the leftover part. By virtue of their 5th win, SRH climb to the third spot on the points table while the Royals slipped to the fourth after their third defeat.
This was Sunrisers’ fourth consecutive victory in IPL 2026 and also the fourth highest successful chase in the history of the cash-rich league.
