Vaibhav Sooryavanshi becomes first uncapped batter to smash 2 centuries in IPL

New Delhi: Vaibhav Sooryavanshi entered the record books on Saturday with multiple feats during the Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2026 clash. After becoming the youngest batter to reach 1000 runs in T20 cricket at the age of 15, Sooryavanshi scripted another big record.

The 15-year-old fiery batter became the first uncapped player in the history of Indian Premier League to smash two centuries. In today’s game in Jaipur, the flamboyant batter smashed a 36-ball ton while he had hit a 35-ball century in the last season for the same franchise.

In the overall list, he has the second-fastest century (35 balls) in the cash-rich league while on Saturday, he scored the third-fastest ton (36 balls) as well. The list is led by Chris Gayle who scored a ton in the IPL in just 30 balls.

Meanwhile, after smashing 12 sixes and 5 boundaries, Sooryavanshi finally departed for 37-ball 103-run total as the crowd present in the stands gave his a standing ovation for another blazing knock.
