West Bengal Election 2026: Amidst the election heat in West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday strongly attacked Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Mamata Banerjee. He bluntly said from the land of Bengal that Mamata Didi had opposed CAA only because she was worried that if there were more Hindus then how would Iftar be served on the streets in future. CM Yogi clearly said that TMC has no faith in democracy and the whole world has seen their hooliganism during the first phase of voting. He warned that when the election results come on May 4, TMC goons will not have any place to hide. Due to the formation of double engine government of BJP in Bengal, these criminals have now started looking for alternative jobs. Someone is planning to open a puncture shop and someone is trying to save his life by becoming a street sweeper, but no matter where the attackers hide, we will find them.

Crowd gathered in CM Yogi’s public meetings

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing huge public meetings on Saturday in support of BJP candidate from Nabadwip Assembly constituency Shruti Shekhar Goswami, Katwa candidate Krishna Ghosh and BJP candidate from Bagda Soma Thakur. Even in the scorching heat of Bengal, there was no decrease in people’s affection towards the Chief Minister and the crowd of thousands kept shouting slogans of ‘Yogi-Yogi’. Expressing gratitude to the voters for this affection, the CM said that Bengal will not accept any more anarchy. The time has come to completely erase the stigma of looting that Congress, Communists and TMC have put on the face of Bengal. The people of Bengal have now made up their mind to bring a double engine government which will carry out development work in the state at double speed. It is extremely necessary for the BJP government to come to power in Bengal to settle the old scores with the TMC goons.

Resolve on 4th May, saffron flag will wave everywhere – Yogi Adityanath

CM Yogi congratulated the voters of Bengal for the record voting on 152 seats in the first phase. He said that during the voting, the feeling was clear in the mind of every citizen that Bengal has to be completely freed from terrorism, mafia raj and corruption. The people want that Bengal should again be made a symbol of India’s glorious identity and for this a double engine government of BJP is needed. The scenes seen during the voting day were clearly indicating that when the results are announced on May 4, the saffron flag will be seen waving in every corner of Bengal. This enthusiasm of the voters is announcing the end of TMC’s misgovernance.

Crisis on Bengal’s identity deepens under TMC rule – CM Yogi

Referring to the cultural greatness of Bengal, the Chief Minister said that 500 years ago Chaitanya Mahaprabhu had attracted the entire world through the melodious tune of ‘Hare Krishna, Hare Rama’ and established the Sanatan flag on the global stage. Today the same great work is being done by the monks of ISKCON. This land is the soil of India’s spiritual heritage, sacrifice, courage and self-respect. This land of Bengal has given important leadership to the spirituality, patriotism, art and literature of the country. Bengal, which was once considered the ‘cultural capital’ of the country, is today on the verge of losing its identity under the rule of TMC. The industries here are continuously closing down, farmers are not getting the price of their hard work, the youth do not have employment and the government employees are yearning for their full salary. The law and order situation is so worrying that BJP worker Sanjay Bhowmik was brutally murdered and criminals are roaming freely. At present, land, sand and cattle mafia is completely dominant in Bengal. The money that Prime Minister Modi sends for development is usurped by TMC goons. But now the people of Bengal have woken up and the game of corruption and anarchy is about to end here.

Opposition to CAA and politics of appeasement

While addressing the voters, CM Yogi said that now the time has come to get freedom from the TMC government which is allowing infiltrators to loot the rights of Bengal. TMC opposes every work that is in the interest of India and Bengal. When the Prime Minister presented the CAA proposal in Parliament, TMC strongly opposed it. Whereas this law guarantees that Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs who have come from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan after being persecuted and have been living in India for five years, will be given citizenship here. Many people got citizenship in Bengal through this Act, but Mamata Didi feels bad because she is worried about the increase of Hindus and Iftar stops on the streets. Yogi warned that now no one can offer Namaz on the road nor can have Iftar party in UP, there even sound does not come out from the mosques.

Matua community and displaced people got respect

Referring to the Matua community, the CM said that a large number of people of this community live here who were displaced and came to India between 1947 and 1971. Congress, Communists and TMC never wanted them to get citizenship, but due to the efforts of Prime Minister Modi, today the Matua community is proudly feeling safe and secure as citizens of India. The Chief Minister further informed that he himself has distributed certificates of citizenship and land ownership to Hindus displaced from Bangladesh in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh on April 12. Matua community and Bengali families live in four districts of Uttar Pradesh, who are now being given their rights because of CAA. All this was possible only because PM Modi understood their pain, whereas the opposition parties had no such thinking.

Model of change and development of Uttar Pradesh

Comparing UP and Bengal, the Chief Minister said that before 2017, the situation in Uttar Pradesh was worse than Bengal. There was an atmosphere of fear during festivals, farmers committed suicide and riots and curfew were common. Bullets used to be fired on Ram devotees, but after the formation of the double engine government in 2017, everything changed. Now there is no disturbance but a festive atmosphere in UP and there is neither curfew nor anarchy. The mafias whom Congress and SP had nurtured have been crushed by bulldozers. Today UP is the state with the highest number of expressways in the country and no one can create chaos on the roads there. The grand Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya and Kashi is ready with its new divinity, while the opposition parties have always opposed these works.

Bengal vs Uttar Pradesh on employment front

While presenting the employment figures, Yogi Adityanath said that his government has given government jobs to about 9 lakh youth in UP, out of which a large number are daughters. Apart from this, 60 lakh youth have been provided employment in big industries and more than 3 crore youth have been provided employment through MSME units. On the contrary, during the TMC rule in Bengal, 30 lakh youth became unemployed and industries were closed. He stressed that where there is an environment of mafia and corruption, there can never be development nor can any new industry be established.

Sanatan faith and resolution of ‘Khela Shesh’

Speaking on the issue of faith, CM said that Mamata Didi opposes Durga Puja, idol immersion and Hindus in Bengal. Ban is imposed on chanting Jai Shri Ram. Kolkata High Court also had to order that strict action should be taken against those who attacked the Durga Puja procession, but the TMC government did not take any action. Yogi made it clear that no one can stop the worship of Maa Kali and Maa Durga on the land of Bengal and there will be a movement on the streets against those who do so. He resolved that he would neither allow cow slaughter nor allow Hindus to be divided on the soil of Bengal. In response to Mamata Didi’s ‘Khela Hobe’, he gave the slogan – ‘Khela Shesh, Unnayan Shuru’ i.e. now the game will end and development will begin.
