Will ‘Dacoit’ face losses?
The film’s theatrical business was valued at Rs 31 crore. To break even, it needs to collect Rs 32 crore, which means a gross of around Rs 65 crore. But reaching that target looks tough. It might add another 50 lakh share in the next two days before its theatrical run ends next week. If this happens, the movie could face a loss of about six to seven crore rupees, landing it in the ‘flop’ category. The producers, however, are safe as they made a table profit before release. It’s the buyers who might face losses. Adivi Sesh’s films are usually a safe bet, but it seems he’s taking a big hit for the first time with this movie.
