What is the secret of Goddess Sita’s previous birth?

According to Valmiki Ramayana, Goddess Sita was a Brahmin daughter in her previous birth, her name was Vedavati. She wanted to get Lord Vishnu as her husband, for this she performed severe penance. One day when she was doing penance, Ravana saw her and became fascinated by her. Ravana wanted to take Vedavati with him to Lanka. Angered, Vedavati cursed Ravana that ‘you will die only because of a woman’. After this she got engulfed in fire. In her next birth as Sita, she fulfilled her curse.

In which Veda is the name of Sita found?

The description of a goddess named Sita is also found in the Vedas written before Valmiki Ramayana. In Rigveda, Goddess Sita is considered the goddess of agriculture.
