PKL 12 points table: Jaipur Pink Panthers win first home game, Puneri Paltan reclaim top spot

New Delhi: Jaipur Pink Panthers thrashed UP Yoddhas 41-29 at the Swai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur on September 13, Saturday. Nitin Kumar again led the team with a Super 10, and with Ali Samadi’s support, Jaipur registered its first win in front of its fans.

With this win, Jaipur moved up to fifth position in the points table with six points in six matches. Whereas, after a commendable start to the season, Yoddhas lost three matches in a row and now fell to the ninth spot with just four points in five matches.

Nitin continued his red-hot form with another Super 10, while Samadi scored nine raid points in the game. This was also the first time this season that Jaipur’s defenders scored more than 10 tackle points in a game.

For Yoddhas, the same old story of this season continued as Gagan Gowda was leading the side with 16 points but didn’t get any support from the other end. Guman Singh and Bhavani Rajput marked another disappointing match this season.

In the second match of the night, Puneri Paltan regained the top position by defeating Telugu Titans 39-33. The table toppers broke the three-match win streak of the Titans by a complete team effort.

Paltan have won five out of seven games and have 10 points in the tournament. Whereas Titans are still in fourth position by winning three out of six matches so far in the tournament.

The Paltan’s defence unit displayed a match-winning performance by scoring 17 tackle points in the match and found success in stopping Vijay Malik and Bharat Hooda. Gaurav Khatri and Vishal Bharadwaj scored a High 5 against Titans and thrived against Titans’ raiding unit.
