IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After RCB vs GT: Royal Challengers Bengaluru moved to the second position in the IPL 2026 points table after defeating Gujarat Titans by 5 wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 24. Batting first, GT posted 205/3 in 20 overs.
Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan started the innings with intent and scored 57 runs in the powerplay. Sudharsan led the charge and smacked boundaries at regular intervals. Suyash Sharma dismissed Gill for 32 runs in the 13th over, but Sudharsan batted brilliantly and smashed his first century of the IPL 2026.
Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar played great cameos, and Jason Holder hit 18 runs in the last over to help GT set a 206-run target for RCB. In reply, Virat Kohli was dropped by Washington Sundar in the first over.
The veteran batter then stitched a 115-run partnership with Devdutt Padikkal for the second wicket, which shifted the momentum strongly in RCB’s favour. Although the defending champions lost a few wickets in the middle overs, Tim David and Krunal Pandya helped RCB to cross the winning line comfortably.
