Popular actor Vijay Sethupathi exercised his democratic right on Thursday by casting his vote in the fiercely contested elections for the 234-member Tamil Nadu Assembly.
The star arrived at Chennai High School in Kilpauk Garden to participate in the electoral process, joining thousands of citizens in shaping the state’s political future. After voting, he stepped out to greet the media and proudly displayed his inked finger, encouraging civic participation and highlighting the importance of every vote in a vibrant democracy.
Several prominent stars from the Tamil film industry also stepped out to vote in their respective constituencies, joining the electoral process with enthusiasm. Actress Trisha cast her vote at St. Francis Xavier Middle School, while actor Santhanam exercised his franchise at Marya Nivas School in Pozhichalur.
Actors Nikki Galrani and Aadhi voted at Ethiraj College, while Siddharth was seen casting his vote in Alwarpet, Chennai. Keerthi Suresh participated at Chennai Middle School in Neelankarai, and Aishwarya Rajesh voted at C.D. Nayagam Higher Secondary School in T Nagar.
Renowned director Shankar, accompanied by his daughter and actress Aditi Shankar, also cast their votes at VGP Philominal Matriculation School, marking their participation in the democratic process.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth cast his vote at Stella Maris College for Women, accompanied by his younger daughter, director Soundarya Rajinikanth. Meanwhile, actor-politician Kamal Haasan arrived with his daughter Shruti Haasan to vote at a government school in Teynampet.
Actor Vikram cast his vote at The Besant Theosophical Higher Secondary School, while Gautham Karthik voted at Stella Maris College. Ajith Kumar, who rushed back from Belgium amid his racing commitments with Ajith Kumar Racing, was among the first to vote in Thiruvanmiyur. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander and actor Dhanush cast their votes at St. Francis Xavier Middle School in Alwarpet around 9 am.
