The food safety department officials acted after receiving information from SOT Police and raided M/s Naseeb Birhsta at Premises No.12-8-82/7/10, Kaithalapur, Kukatpally, Hyderabad, a statement said.
The violations included procuring used oil and reusing it for bulk preparation of friend onions and using highly unhygienic premises to cook the food, raising concerns over public health risks.
Additionally, about 480 kg of cooking oil was seized after taking samples for analysis. The premises has been sealed for further investigation.
Food safety violations:
Prior to this, milk and dairy worth Rs 7.78 lakh was seized by squad and food safety officers across Telangana.
Several such food safety inspections across the state revealed gross violations at various food establishments. The police have launched a crackdown on adulterated food and food safety violations.
