The issue of alleged rigging and paper leak in the NEET exam has once again come to the center of political debate during the monsoon session of Parliament in Delhi. Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the central government in support of the students protesting at Jantar Mantar. He alleged that the government is trying to suppress the voice of the youth and is avoiding responding to controversies related to the examination.
Government targeted over students’ protest at Jantar Mantar
While talking to the media, Akhilesh Yadav expressed his displeasure over the alleged incident of lathi charge on the students protesting at Jantar Mantar. He said that in democracy, students have the right to express their views, but efforts are being made to suppress their voice. The SP chief said that the government did not even express condolences towards the students who died. According to him, this shows the arrogance of the government. He alleged that the students wanted to take their demands to Parliament, but had to face the use of force.

Serious allegations regarding paper leak and government recruitment
Akhilesh Yadav claimed that papers of many government recruitment examinations were leaked in Uttar Pradesh, but effective action was not taken against the main accused. He alleged that the culprits are being protected in paper leak cases. Along with this, he also raised questions on the policy of outsourcing in government jobs. He said that outsourcing is being promoted to avoid regular government recruitments, which affects the reservation system and transparency. However, there has been no reaction from the Central Government or the parties concerned on these allegations.
Message given to support the students
The SP chief appealed to the young MPs of his party to reach Jantar Mantar and meet the protesting students and assure them that the Samajwadi Party stands with their demands. The issue of NEET exam and paper leak has been a topic of political and social discussion for some time now. In such a situation, the political debate is likely to intensify in the coming days due to the opposition’s attack on this issue during the Parliament session.
