New Delhi: Bowlers led by Mohsin Khan shined for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) as the hosts restricted Rajasthan Royals (RR) to 159/6 in their Indian Premier League 2026 encounter on Wednesday. Opting to bowl first, veteran pacer Mohammed Shami starred for the Super Giants with two quick wickets to dent their proceedings initially.
Prince Yadav was the other bowler with two wickets as the three bowlers combined together to destroy the Royals batters. The lethal opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi failed to unfurl the magic in today’s clash with scores of 22 and 8 respectively.
While Jaiswal looked promising initially striking four boundaries in his 12-ball score but he could not continue further succumbing in front of good ball from Shami. Sooryavanshi also smashed two fours but lacked fire falling victim in front of Mohsin who ended up with brilliant figures of 2/17 in 4 overs.
Jadeja shines for Royals
Dhruv Jurel was out on a golden duck while skipper Riyan Parag scored 20 off 19 but it was all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja who made the difference at the end helping the side cross the 15o-run mark. Jadeja smashed 43 off 29 balls to take the Royals to a modest total while Donovan Ferreira and Shubham Dubey also contributed with 20 and 19 runs respectively.
