A 31-year-old bride in the UK fainted at her wedding after drinking alcohol on an empty stomach. He was taken home in an ambulance straight from the reception. The bride later described the incident as embarrassing but a memorable episode of her wedding.
Wedding day is like a dream for everyone. 31-year-old Danielle Crowther, living in Kent, United Kingdom, had also prepared a lot for her special day. The wedding rituals took place exactly as they had planned. He married his partner Lewis at Canterbury Register Office. But what happened after this in the reception, no one had expected. According to a report in Mirror, instead of celebrating her wedding night, Danielle went home in an ambulance wearing her wedding dress.
What happened at the reception?
There were about 40 guests at the reception party and everything was going great. Daniel told that she was dancing in the evening and was enjoying a lot. But things changed in the last half of the night. She remembers that she went to sit near her younger son, but suddenly her health deteriorated. She said she had never been so ‘drunk’ in her life. According to Daniel, the guests served him several drinks throughout the evening. He also admitted that he had mixed different types of liquor.
Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach proved costly.
Daniel believes that the main reason for this incident was that he had not eaten anything properly the whole day. He told that due to the tension and preparations for the wedding, he had stopped eating. He also told that he has an anxiety problem, due to which it was difficult for him to eat anything. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach resulted in intoxication much faster. For this reason, she could not control herself and ultimately became unconscious. She advised other brides not to skip meals on their wedding day and avoid drinking too much alcohol without eating anything.
An ambulance had to be called as soon as the bride became unconscious.
When Danielle became unconscious and unresponsive, her husband Lewis called the emergency services. Paramedics reached the venue and examined him. In a video that later went viral, a paramedic is seen taking him out of the reception. He was taken home in an ambulance. Paramedics said he didn’t need to be taken to hospital because it was all alcohol related. Daniel later said he did not remember being taken to the ambulance or anything about the journey.
When I woke up in the morning I couldn’t remember anything
When Danielle woke up the next morning, she was unwell and feeling dizzy. He didn’t remember anything about the previous night. Only when he saw the viral video did he understand the whole story. The clip spread online within hours and was viewed nearly 50,000 times.
How was the reaction when it went viral?
Daniel admitted that he felt very embarrassed after watching the video. “Oh my God, this is so embarrassing,” he said. However, he decided to look at the situation in a positive manner. He said that this incident did not ruin their marriage, but made the day even more memorable. Her husband also found this story amusing, although he too was drunk that night.
a memorable wedding
Daniel had spent six months planning his wedding. He said that the wedding rituals were absolutely perfect. She and Lewis had known each other for several years before they married. Even though the reception didn’t go as planned, Danielle now looks back on it as a unique story from her big day. She said that even though it was not what she expected, it is something she will never forget.
