Amaravati: Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning, gusty winds with speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph is likely at some places in Noarth Coastal AP, Yanam, Rayalaseema, IMD Amaravati said in its forecast.
However, hot, humid and discomfort weather conditions will prevail in some other districts in coastal AP and Yanam till April 26, according to IMD. Maximum temperatures are likely to be around 42-44 degrees Celsius.
As per AP State Disaster Management Authority, there is a possibility of scattered light rains accompanied by thunder in Kurnool, Nandyal, Prakasam, and Markapuram districts while moderate rain is likely in Alluri Sitaramaraju and Anakapalli districts in the next three hours.

The trough/wind discontinuity runs from Marathwada to Comorin across Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamilnadu at 0.9 km above mean sea level. An upper air cyclonic circulation lies over North Tamilnadu and neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level.
Similar weather conditions are likely in Telangana till April 27, as per IMD Hyderabad weather forecast.
