Recipes
Arva rice
7 types of dishes are specially cooked on the day of Jitia. On the day of Parana, a large plate is decorated in which all these dishes are decorated and offered in worship. Creating Arva rice on this day is considered auspicious. Therefore, Arva rice is used instead of normal rice.
Lentils
There is also a special tradition of cooking lentils with rice. Vrati women eat it after worship. Children and other people also eat it as offerings. Chana dal, moong dal or arhar dal is made which is considered auspicious.
Noni Saag
Noni greens are very important on Jitiya. Nony greens are cold, which is considered necessary to eat after fasting. It is very good to be digested as well as our health. Pumpkin vegetable
Pumpkin vegetables are often made on Teej-festivals. Jitiya Puja also makes juicy and spicy pumpkin vegetables with gram dal which is eaten with rice and lentils. Mudu
It is necessary to eat mudua or ragi on Jitiya. It is made as prasad. On this day, roti, pudding or laddus are made from the flour of the mudua. It is also included in Bhog Prasad.
