You will need 1 cup mustard oil, 3 teaspoons yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon dry ginger powder, 1.5 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons fennel powder, half teaspoon red chili powder, one teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons cumin, 1 teaspoon black salt, 2 teaspoons fenugreek seeds, 1 teaspoon carom seeds, 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida, 1 teaspoon black pepper.

- To make jackfruit pickle, you have to take raw jackfruit. It should be completely white from inside. Like jackfruit vegetable is made. Now first wash the jackfruit, wipe it and apply some oil on your hands and remove the peels of the jackfruit. Cut it into small pieces of 1 to 1.5 inches.
- Pickle is made by lightly cooking jackfruit. For this, pour 1 glass of water in a big vessel. Place a stand in it and place the vessel with jackfruit on top.
- After lighting the gas, you have to cover the jackfruit for some time and cook it in steam. Check it occasionally, if it becomes soft then turn off the gas.
- Now put mustard oil in a pan and cook it well till smoke rises and then slow down the gas.
- Add asafoetida along with turmeric powder in mustard oil. After this add steamed jackfruit pieces and mix well. Stir it continuously for 2 minutes and then turn off the gas.

- Now you have to add the remaining spices one by one. Like add fennel powder, ginger powder, black salt, red chilli powder and all the other ground and whole spices.

Remember these tips
- Jackfruit pickle can be eaten immediately, but it is better if eaten after 3 to 4 days, because all the spices get mixed well in it.
