New Delhi: India women’s team stayed in contention for the final berth in women’s hockey Asia Cup after playing out a draw against Japan in an important Super 4 clash on Saturday. In the ongoing tournament being held in Hangzhou, China, India held their nerves tight to play out a 1-1 draw against the Japanese women’s team.
India was clearly in direct contention to qualify for the final match but a late strike from the Japan team changed the outcome of the game. Meanwhile, the result of the game between Korea and China will decide the finalists of the tournament.
