New Delhi: The GST 2.0 is set to make the auto market a lot more accessible for the masses of the population. The biggest benefactor has been the small car industry, along with the two-wheelers below 350cc. Car manufacturers have been capitalising on the price cuts.
In the margin of under Rs 20 lakh, there has been a big segment of the market that has been heavily filled more recently. Companies across the scales are trying to get a share of the market in the sub-compact area. In terms of pricing, vehicles like the Hyundai Creta have come down below the 20 lakh mark with the new GST regulations. A lot of cars have become much more practical to own.
Hyundai Creta
The Hyundai Creta has been one of the most popular cars in the Indian market as an SUV and occupies a huge market share. Across the Creta range, Hyundai has given a price cut between Rs 38,311 and Rs 69,624. With this, the pricing comes down to 10,72,589 as the starting price, and the maximum the Creta costing goes to is at Rs 19,49,276.

Kia India had reduced the pricing of their lineup quite soon after the announcement of GST 2.0. The Seltos price cut is as high as Rs 1,64,471. The latest pricing takes the top model to Rs 18.41 lakh. This makes this sub-four-meter SUV an interesting proposition for a wide range of audiences.
Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara
Maruti Suzuki have given out a huge amount of discounts on two of their high-selling hatchbacks, the Swift and the Baleno. However, the pricing isn’t just limited to the best of the portfolio, as the Grand Vitara has a maximum price cut of Rs 68,000. The new pricing falls between Rs 11.03 lakh and Rs 20.09 lakh.
Tata Nexon

Tata’s range of cars, especially in the SUV segment, is well known, and the brand has a good hold in the entry SUV, with the long-standing Nexon. For a long time, the sub-four SUV has been making its mark and now gets a price reduction of Rs 1.55 lakh. It will now range between Rs 7.21 lakh and Rs 13.87 lakh.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
Mahindra XUV 3XO has been giving a huge price concession as well, with Mahindra becoming the first brand to have a price cut with immediate effect. The reduced price for petrol and diesel of the XUV 3XO is Rs 1.4 lakh and Rs 1.56 lakh, respectively. The pricing should put it between Rs 9.08 lakh and 18.42 lakh.
