Hyderabad: Six people were injured in a massive fire at an apartment building in TNGO Colony in Gachibowli area of the city on Monday, April 20.
No casualties were reported but six people sustained minor injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital. Two individuals among them fell severely ill due to smoke inhalation, reports said.
Thick smoke engulfed the building, triggering panic in residents. Firefighting personnel rescued those who were trapped on the upper floors. It is suspected that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the building cellar. 15 two-wheelers were gutted in the fire.
Fire accident in Bhongir:
Separately, fire accident occurred at the Premier Explosives Company in Peddakandukuru, Yadadri Bhongir district. The blaze erupted while materials were being mixed in Block C11L5 of the facility, resulting in injuries to a worker. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Secunderabad.
