Sadhvi Sail, daughter of Karwar Congress MLA wins, crowned Femina Miss India 2026

Bengaluru: Sadhvi Sail, the daughter of Karwar Congress MLA Satish Sail, has won the 61st Femina Miss India crown. The finale was held at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on April 18.

Following her win, Sadhvi Sail spoke to her father on a video call and expressed her joy and sought the blessings of her father.

Contestants from various states took part in the finale. The MLA’s daughter represented Goa and defeated a total of 29 contestants. Rajnandini from Maharashtra was the first runner-up, while Sriti Advaita from Jammu and Kashmir was the second runner-up.

Grateful for this opportunity

The 2025 winner Nikita Porwal crowned Sadhvi during the event. Khushi Ramesh, who represented Karnataka, could not manage to make it to the top 15.

“I am very grateful for this opportunity. Everyone who came to place is a winner. My aim is to make India proud,” said Sadhvi. Sadhvi holds a degree in economics and international relations from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Notably, Sadhvi lost 10-kg before taking part in the competition. Sadhvi has multiple hobbies including photography, badminton and beekeeping etc. According to reports, Sadhvi will represent India in 2026 Miss World competition. The competition will be held in Vietnam and the finale will be held on September 5.

Sadhvi shares journey experience of her journey

Hailing from Goa, Sadhvi is also an entrepreneur and has business interests in construction and development sector.

Sharing her experience, Sadhvi said it was a great opportunity and felt like surreal. “All the contestants gave a beautiful presentation and shared a strong bond. It’s all about collective growth and friendship,” the crown winner told ANI. She also added all the her friends are winners of this competition and our goal is to make India proud globally.

Talking about her journey, Femina Miss India winner explained that there is strong sense of responsibility and she wishes to take forward her journey with honesty and integrity.
