Warning to Donald Trump: Asim Munir is a ‘red flag’, big alert from US intelligence agency. Us Intelligence Flags Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir Over Iran Links

US intelligence agency has described Pak Army Chief Asim Munir as a ‘danger bell’. Munir, who is mediating between America and Iran, has deep ties with Iran’s IRGC, which is considered a major threat.

Washington: On one hand, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir is desperate to bring about reconciliation between America and Iran, while on the other hand, America’s intelligence agency itself has warned President Donald Trump against him. The agency has clearly said that Munir is like a ‘red flag’ and a burden. This has been said because Munir is said to have deep relations with Iran’s powerful paramilitary force IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps), while Trump has praised him by calling him ‘my favorite field marshal’.

Retired Pakistan General Ahmed Saeed told American channel Fox News that Munir had been strengthening his relations with Iran since 2016. He has good relations with leaders like IRGC, Iran’s army and former Quds Force commanders Qasim Suleimani and Hossein Salami.

After this statement, another security analyst Bill Rogio also gave his opinion. He said, ‘During the Afghanistan war, despite being our friend, Pakistan was supporting Taliban. In the same way, the relationship between Munir and the IRGC, who is now mediating the talks with Iran, should also be seen as a big threat.

Pakistan, which is an ally of both America and Iran, is playing the role of mediator to reduce tensions between these two countries. In such a situation, this warning coming out is really a matter of concern.
