IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After PBKS vs LSG: Punjab Kings strengthened their position at the top of the IPL 2026 standings after defeating Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs. Batting first, PBKS posted 254/7 in 20 overs. Priyansh Arya and Cooper Connolly stitched a 182-run partnership for the second wicket.

Priyansh scored 93 runs off 37 balls with the help of nine maximums and four boundaries. Connolly smashed 87 runs off 46 balls, hitting seven maximums and eight boundaries. After their dismissals, the hosts lost a few more wickets, but Marcus Stoinis and Shashank Singh forged a 44-run partnership off 17 balls to help PBKS post 254/7 in 20 overs.

In reply, LSG got off to a flying start with openers Mitchell Marsh and Ayush Badoni adding 61 runs for the first wicket. Marsh, Rishabh Pant, and Markram contributed in the form of 40s couldn’t manage to threaten PBKS throughout the chase.

In the first match on Sunday, KKR beat RR by 4 wickets. Opting to bat, RR posted 155/9 in 20 overs with Vaibhav Sooryavanshi top-scoring a 28-ball 46. He stitched a quick 81-run partnership with Yashasvi Jaiswal, who also amassed 39 off 29. After their dismissals, KKR spin duo of Vaibhav Chakaravarthy and Sunil Narine bowled well and picked wickets at regular intervals in the middle overs. Kartik Tyagi also bowled well in the death over and picked up three wickets.

Chasing the target, KKR got off to a disappointing start as their openers, Ajinkya Rahane and Tim Seifert, fell without scoring. Cameron Green smashed 27 runs off 13 balls, helping KKR to score 51 runs in the powerplay. After his dismissal, RR spinners choked the run-scoring in the middle overs. Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Angkrish Raghuvanshi (10) and Rovman Powell (23). The all-rounder should have taken his third, but Burger dropped Rinku for 8.

Rinku and Anukul batted well after that and hit Bishnoi for 19 runs in the 16th over. They smashed boundaries at crucial moments and KKR in the match. Rinku scored his half-century in 33 balls and hit the winning runs, while Anukul scored an unbeaten 29 off 16.
