New Delhi: Punjab Kings (PBKS) batters Cooper Connolly and Priyansh Arya smashed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bowler Aiden Markram for 32 runs in the 13th over of the IPL 2026 clash at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh on Sunday, April 19.
The duo smashed five sixes against Markram, making it the most expensive over of the ongoing edition. Mohammed Shami dismissed Prabhsimran Singh for a duck in the first over, but Connolly and Priyansh Arya batted well and stitched a 182-run partnership for the second wicket, the third highest for the PBKS.
Both batters were well set when Markram came to bowl. Connolly smashed a maximum on the first delivery over cover and hit two more straight down the ground. Under pressure, Markram then bowled a wide, and Connolly took a single on the fourth delivery.
Priyansh Arya then struck a maximum over deep midwicket on the fifth delivery, and smacked another one straight down the ground on the last ball. The carnage propelled PBKS from 147/1 to 179/1 in just one over.
