Lucknow News: Somnath Swabhiman Yatra started from Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gave the green signal. The devotees expressed gratitude to the government, calling it an initiative that fulfilled their years-old wish.
A journey started from Lucknow on Sunday, which fulfilled the years-old wish of thousands of devotees. ‘Somnath Swabhiman Yatra’ was flagged off amid religious fervor, blowing of conch shells and chanting of Vedic mantras. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi inaugurated this yatra, for which a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the devotees who came from all over the state.
Pilgrimage path made easier due to government initiative
Through this special journey, now even such devotees will be able to reach Somnath Dham, who till now could not fulfill this dream due to financial or other reasons. Devotees say that this initiative is not just a journey but a medium to connect faith and culture.

Devotees expressed gratitude
Satish Kumar, resident of Banti Kheda, Muzaffarnagar, looked emotional on this occasion. He told that he wanted to visit Somnath temple for many years, but did not get the opportunity. He said that his dream has been fulfilled by this initiative of the government and he thanked the Chief Minister for this. Bindu Ishika Singhania of Bareilly described this yatra as an initiative to strengthen Sanatan culture. According to him, this will give people of different states an opportunity to understand each other’s traditions.
Big support for economically weak people
Anant Tiwari of Azamgarh described the initiative as a “boon” for the poor and middle class. He said that many people have faith but are unable to undertake pilgrimage due to financial constraints. Now through this scheme they will also get equal opportunity. Anant Rana of Meerut told that he is going for Somnath darshan for the first time and the people of rural areas will get special benefits from this visit.

The devotees participating in the yatra praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that the government is working understanding the sentiments of the common people. A major objective of this journey is not only to promote religious philosophy but also to promote cultural unity.
