That black morning of Farbisganj
On the morning of 10 June 1973, there was an unusual movement at the Farbisganj airstrip. Royal Nepal Airlines’s 19-seater Canadian Twin-Oter aircraft was going from Viratnagar to Kathmandu. But a few minutes after flying, three youths Durga Prasad Subedi, Nagendra Dhungel and Basant Bhattarai captured the aircraft. The aircraft crossed the Indian border and launched in Farbisganj, Bihar. Hijackers had only hand -made maps of the airstrip, yet the aircraft landed safely. Local people called that day a miracle.
History of money and politics
30 lakhs filled in three boxes were taken off by the aircraft. This money was sent for the ongoing anti -monarchy struggle in Nepal. The 6 already present there brought it to a safe place.
