RPF has achieved a major success from Dehri on Son railway station in Rohtas district. The police have arrested a vicious criminal involved in the bank robbery worth crores in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh, with a huge amount of cash and gold.
The arrested criminal has been identified as Kamlesh Kumar, resident of Gwal Bigha under Hilsa police station of Nalanda district. Railway ASP Alok Kumar Singh confirmed the matter and said that yesterday five armed robbers had raided the Bank of Maharashtra in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. During this time, the criminals had looted gold worth about Rs 10 to 15 crore and cash worth more than Rs 20 lakh from the bank.
RPF took action on the basis of suspicion
After committing the robbery, Kamlesh Kumar was returning to Bihar by Singrauli-Patna Express with his share of the money. The RPF jawans patrolling the train became suspicious of Kamlesh’s suspicious activities. The soldiers immediately informed their senior officers about this. As soon as the train stopped at Dehri railway station, the police surrounded him and took him into custody.
Big revelation in seizure and interrogation
During the search, Rs 15 lakh 72 thousand in cash and 61 grams of gold were recovered from the accused, whose market value was estimated at more than Rs 9 lakh. During strict interrogation by the police, Kamlesh admitted that he was involved in the Bank of Maharashtra robbery case and was running away to his home after dividing the share. At present, the police are conducting raids in search of other gang members.
