Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh’s much-awaited Ganga Expressway will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 29 in Hardoi district. UP Infrastructure Development: Expressway network expanded rapidly under Yogi government
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, infrastructure projects have been progressed rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. Ganga Expressway is a prime example of this development model. After getting approval from the Council of Ministers in the year 2020, this project was given priority and work was done towards completing it in record time. This project is becoming a strong foundation for the creation of “New Uttar Pradesh”.
Ganga Expressway Route Map: 594 km long expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj
The total length of Ganga Expressway is 594 kilometers. It will start from Bijauli village in Meerut and end near Judapur Dandu village in Prayagraj. This expressway will make travel faster, safer and easier by directly connecting western and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
12 Districts Benefit: 12 districts and 519 villages will get direct benefits
This expressway will directly benefit 12 major districts like Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. Along with this, 519 villages are connected to this project, which will give impetus to development in both rural and urban areas.
Expressway Network India: UP’s share in expressway network will increase
At present Uttar Pradesh’s share in the total expressway network of the country is about 55 percent. After the commencement of Ganga Expressway, this will increase to about 60 percent, which will further strengthen UP as the leading state in the field of expressway development in the country.
Investment and Jobs: Investment, industry and employment will get a boost
Due to better connectivity, logistics costs will reduce, which will greatly benefit industry and trade. This expressway will develop as an industrial corridor and attract new investments and create employment opportunities for the youth.
