Australia to tour Bangladesh for ODI series after 15 years

New Delhi: Australia is set to tour Bangladesh for their bilateral men’s ODI series in the nation after a huge gap of 15 years, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced. The Aussies last visited the country for an ODI series back in 2011 and with the series coming up in next two months, it is a big boost for Bangladesh cricket.

Australia are scheduled to play three ODIs which will be followed by as many T20Is on this visit, starting with their arrival on June 5. The venues for the white-ball series are yet to be finalised but the dates have been announced by the Bangladesh cricket board.

When will the series begin?

The first ODI match will take place on June 9 with the second and third is scheduled for June 11 and 14. The three T20Is will be played on June 17, 19 and 21 respectively. The BCB has said that they are looking forward to the series and hosting a side like Australia in their country.

As part of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship cycle, Bangladesh are also set to host Pakistan for a  two-match Test series in May. Pakistan’s Test squad will arrive in Dhaka on May 3.

The first Test will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from May 8, while the second, starting on May 16, will be held at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
