New Delhi: After failing to pass the Women’s Reservation Bill, BJP has now announced protests across the country. Central leaders of BJP have clearly said that women will take to the streets against the opposition’s stand on this issue. Party leaders also say that they will continue efforts to pass this bill. At the same time, Congress says that the opposition’s united vote against the bill is just the beginning of its strategy for the coming days. Congress has indicated that the opposition will jointly counter every step taken by the Centre. Outside the NDA, only YSR Congress voted in favor of the bill.
Meanwhile, NDA MPs will protest in the Parliament premises even today to protest against the Women’s Bill. With the completion of the budget session of Parliament, the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha will be adjourned indefinitely today. Let us tell you that a three-day special meeting was called to discuss the Women’s Reservation Bill. Yesterday this bill could not be passed in the Lok Sabha. Because of this, there was no opportunity to present it in the Rajya Sabha. Both houses will adjourn sine die at 11 am. After the adjournment of the proceedings of the Houses, the Union Cabinet meeting will also be held in the Parliament House itself.
