Now a major action has come to light in the case of alleged conversion and sexual exploitation in the Nashik BPO of the country’s well-known IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The main accused Nida Khan, who was at the center of controversies, has been suspended by the company with immediate effect. The suspension letter that has come out regarding Nida has put to rest many misleading claims. This letter not only reveals the company’s strict stance, but also makes the situation absolutely clear regarding Nida’s actual post.
Nida was not HR head but ‘process associate’
Till now, the rumor was rampant in this matter that Nida Khan is the HR head of the company and using the same influence, she used to put pressure on the female employees. But the official suspension letter of TCS issued on 9 April 2026 has completely rejected this claim. It is clearly written in this letter that Nida was working as ‘Process Associate’ in the company from 27 December 2021.
In the letter, the company has said in a very strict tone that in view of the serious situation like police/judicial matter, Nida is suspended with immediate effect. Additionally, the company’s access to its TCS network has also been temporarily closed. The management has given clear instructions not to discuss this topic with any other employee. This is a strong message to the corporate world that such serious matters will not be tolerated at all in the workplace.

What is the whole controversy?
This whole uproar started when a 23-year-old BPO employee of Nashik TCS lodged a complaint with the police. According to the victim, her senior colleague Danish Shaikh physically exploited her by making a false promise of marriage. The matter was not limited to this only. The victim alleged that Danish and another employee named Tausif pressurized her to prove the superiority of Islam over Hinduism.
According to the complaint, Nida Khan and Tausif together had made very objectionable comments about Hindu deities. The gang is accused of systematically targeting young female employees aged between 18 to 25 years. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police have registered serious cases under sections 69 (sexual intercourse under false promise of marriage), 75 (sexual harassment) and 299 (insulting religious faith) of the Indian Justice Code (BNS).
Nashik Police is taking swift action in this matter. Till now a total of 8 people including Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon have been arrested. Now everyone’s eyes are on when will the police reach Nida Khan after this big action by TCS.
