New Delhi: The Women’s Reservation Bill has failed to pass in Lok Sabha on Friday after it failed to muster necessary numbers required for the passage of the bill.
The three important bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha on April 16, 2026, during a special session of Parliament. These included the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, the Delimitation Bill 2026, and the Union Territories Laws Amendment Bill. The government wants to implement 33% reservation for women in Parliament and state assemblies starting from the 2029 elections.
