‘Nipun Shikshak Sarathi’ program has been started under Nipun Bharat Mission, in which teachers are being linked with technology and made guides. The pilot project is implemented in five districts, which will improve the quality of education and learning outcomes.

Lucknow. To make the Nipun Bharat Mission effective and result-oriented at the grassroots level, the Yogi government has started the ‘Nipun Shikshak Sarathi’ programme. Through this initiative, the use of technology in the education system is being increased so that the quality of learning can be improved and real changes can be seen.

Teachers will become the real charioteers of change

The main objective of this program is to make teachers leaders of change. Now teachers will not be limited to just teaching, rather they will play the role of a guide who guides the learning process. The Basic Education Department has started preparing teachers for this new role.

Pilot project started in five districts

The ‘Nipun Shikshak Sarathi’ program is currently implemented as a pilot project in Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra, Balrampur, Gorakhpur and Sitapur. Among these, Chitrakoot, Sonbhadra and Balrampur are aspirational districts, while Gorakhpur and Sitapur are aspirational development blocks. This model has been implemented giving priority to education reform in these areas.

SRG Training: Teachers will get continuous guidance

Under the programme, special training has been given to 15 State Level Reference Groups (SRGs). The two-day training of these SRGs was completed on 15-16 April. These trained groups will connect with more and more teachers through technology to provide them regular academic guidance and help in solving classroom related problems.

Technology based teaching will bring change

With the implementation of this initiative, council teachers will go beyond their traditional role and connect with technology. They will receive modern training, clear direction and ongoing academic support. This will make the teaching process more effective and result-oriented.

Activity based learning will make learning easier

In the new system, emphasis is being laid on activity-based and level-based studies. With this, students will be able to learn in a natural way without any pressure. This will strengthen their basic literacy and ensure their overall development.

Big change in communication system

Under this model, communication between teachers and the technical team has been strengthened. Where earlier contact was possible only 1 to 2 times a day, now it will be increased to 18 to 20 times to ensure regular and planned communication. This will provide teachers with more accurate and useful guidance as per their need.

Special focus on class 2 students

The program is focusing on the basic language and mathematics skills of Class 2 students. Teachers are being given additional support, so that a strong foundation can be created for the students at the initial level itself and further results can be improved.

Reduction in time and cost through digital model

This technology based model will reduce the need for field visits, thereby saving both time and expense. Besides, teachers from remote areas will also be easily accessible.

Special attention to weak performing schools

Under this programme, priority is being given to those schools and teachers where academic support is less or the performance is relatively weak. Through this, efforts are being made to bring a balanced improvement in the quality of education.
